Head north to the Queen of the Isles for a special round of golf on this beautiful course.

Westray Golf Club is found in the island of Westray at the north-western tip of Orkney. The nine-hole course offers a challenge to even the finest golfers, especially in the regularly windy conditions.

The course is well-maintained by the local committee and has two teeing options - the red course is 2685 yards, and the white course is 3146 yards. The course also includes the longest hole in British and Irish golf, the 738 yard 3rd hole.

Visitors are more than welcome and there's no need to book a tee time. Simply arrive, pay the latest green fee in cash using the honesty box, take your receipt and tee up. It's possible to travel out from Kirkwall on the morning ferry and use the island bus to travel to and from the course, before heading back in the evening.
