Located on the harbour front of Burray Village, this traditionally built 1860’s former herring store now serves as a 4 star hotel with a restaurant and public bar

Guests staying in our four-star hotel are invited to relax in one of the comfortable and cosy ensuite bedrooms or luxury two-bedroom suites, all of which boast sea views and excellent facilities to ensure a comfortable stay. With views over the small working pier across Water Sound and onto South Ronaldsay, the Sands Hotel offers a unique and relaxed experience.

Open throughout the year, our busy restaurant offers quality lunches, bar meals and a la carte dinners. Local produce and homemade products are standard. 

With the building being south-west facing, our outdoor seating area can be enjoyed on sunny days we have a great view of the beautiful sunsets in the evenings.
