Time for a cuppa
Coffee lovers in Orkney are well catered for thanks to two local coffee roasters. The Orkney Roastery has been creating delicious coffees from its Kirkwall base for a number of years now and also works closely with local businesses to craft bespoke blends. More recently they've partnered with Valhalla Strength Coffee on a range of coffees with performance-enhancing benefits, perfect for sportspeople. The new kid on the block is Lochside Roasters, which sources the finest beans from around the world for its ever-expanding range of coffees.

If you've read all about our local bakeries then you might be thinking of what you can top your toast or biscuit with. As always, Orkney Food & Drink members have the answer. Orkney Isles Preserves, JP Orkney, and Westray Chutney all produce a wide range of jams and chutneys that can elevate the simplest sandwich, with many using the finest local ingredients.
