Celebrate midwinter in style with a Viking Yule Feast! There will be a Viking meal served on wooden plates and drinking horns, as we celebrate Jol (Yule) like the Vikings did, with storytelling and music.
Celebrate midwinter in style with a Viking Yule Feast!
We are transforming the atmospheric Quoyloo Old School into a Norse hall.
There will be a Viking meal served on wooden plates and drinking horns, as we celebrate Jol (Yule) like the Vikings did.
The evening’s entertainment will be storytelling and music, with stories from Norse mythology and legends which were passed on here in Orkney in unbroken tradition from our Norse ancestors until they were written down in the 19th century.
Musicians Kate Fletcher and Corwen Broch, who specialise in ancient music traditions, are also joining us to play.
