One of Scotland's best loved contemporary artists is teaming up with a talented Orcadian musician for a live session of music and art in Birsay's St Magnus Church this July.

Rosanne Barr will be joined by Karen Tweed for this special event on Tuesday 23rd July at 7pm.

Karen is a well known figure in Orkney's musical scene, and Rosanne has featured at many Art Clubs all over Scotland with similar public live demonstrations of her land and seascape painting.

The Orkney event will be special, with Karen's accordion improvisation responding to Rosanne's creative painting on canvas. The artist's experience of Orkney and West Highland skies and horizons have been a major source of her inspiration since childhood. Since graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone, her career has spread widely throughout the UK, Europe and the USA, with many private commissions and solo exhibitions along the way.

The pair will be interacting throughout with discussion about their life story in music and art. Entry is free with retiral collection.
